Here are a few songs that are fresh on the radio these days, but these are just the most annoying tunes ever.

1) Don't Stop The Music by Rihanna (Rihanna has some good songs, but this is just rubbish)

2) Bleeding Love by Leona Lewis (to me, this is the most annoying of all)

3) Feedback by Janet Jackson (this song just doesn't make any sense)

4) No One by Alicia Keys (no one, no one, no one... an irritating piece of crap)

5) Just Fine by Mary J. Blige (just fine, fine, fine... another irritating piece of crap)

6) With You by Chris Brown (this is simply boring and overplayed; Chris Brown has better songs)

7) Love Song by Sara Bareilles (this sounded alright for a while... after some time it started to get strangly annoying)

Speaking of crappy stuff, has anyone seen the latest NEA advertisement about keeping the world environmentally friendly? I think it's the most crappy ad ever, because the narrators can't speak, probably have no clue as to what they're talking about, and the person who chose the music (read: stupid whistle) for this ad simply had no taste. It's completely annoying, and honestly, I don't even think it deserves to go on air.

Gosh. What is the world coming to man?

Gosh, it's been almost 2 months since I wrote anything, and I'm glad to say that I'm back! :)

A very happy and blessed new year (both english and chinese, haha) to you, whoever you are, and thanks for dropping by. I hope everyone had fun this Chinese New Year, and if you're one of those receiving ang pows, make sure you get as many as you can because you won't get to receive them all your life.

This year's celebrations were particularly interesting, actually. The Year of the Rat is my year, and apart from the usual pots and pots of good food, we actually celebrated Chinese New Year this year in style.

My uncle called in a friend, who does freelance jobs such as dressing up as different characters for different festivities (i. e. Santa Claus), and in this case, he came as the god of fortune. It was hilarious, and I was completely taken aback when I was asked to play "cai shen ye" on the piano during the celebrations at my aunt's house on the second day. When the door swung open, most of us thought we were welcoming yet another group of relatives, but we were all proven wrong when the god of fortune stepped through the door.

It was indeed a sight to behold. It was even more interesting to see him speak in English, and even take off his long beard, using tissue paper to wipe the sweat off his face.

Anyway, amidst the festivities, I was also asked to do a couple of fusion shows here and there, and it was lots of fun, company and great food. I'm not sure if having a god of fortune at CNY dinners is common, but I came across another one when I did a show at Copthorne just a few nights ago. Well, this god of fortune looked rather convincing, until the point when he came to the rest area where us musicians were waiting and opened his mouth to complain about the delay in the show and what not.

He was gay. And a super rude one at that.

At the restaurant dining area:

(in Mandarin) "Come come come! Lets toss the yu sheng for good luck, good health and prosperity!"

And the second he stepped into the waiting area:

"KNN. Bloody hell. Delay delay delay. Delay until now, what time already?! 8.20? KNN, she had better pay me more lor!" (in his super gay tone and while stripping to his singlet)

I actually wonder why he would want a job like this. (I was almost tempted to reply, "Stop whining la, cai shen niang niang.")

I turned to look at Em, rolled my eyes, and the both of us almost burst out laughing.

Damn funny la.
