the woes of a busy schedule
I hate it when several events clash on the same day, at the same time.
I hate it even more when it makes it difficult for me to choose, especially if both (or more) events are of high priority.
But I hate it most when the event I’ve chosen to go for sucks, or turns out to be something totally different and more disappointing than the other events I could have attended on that day.
I just came back from a church meeting, and oh my, it was one of the most boring meetings I’ve ever attended. It was so boring, I left halfway. I can’t believe I actually gave up a dinner appointment with a bunch of friends for something like that. It just sucks knowing that you made a bad decision, especially after contemplating the entire morning.
Oh well. If only I could foresee the future.
In any case, it’s been a good break these past 2 days, catching up on things I’ve not done in a long time.
It’s back to camp again tomorrow for another show at Sentosa Resort. I don’t think I’ve been there before, so I hope it’ll be fun. :)

vetting
Yay!
It’s finally over. Surprisingly, it was one of the most successful vettings we’ve ever had. I’ve never received so much compliments from so many people ever before, so I’m glad our efforts didn’t go to waste. :)
I had a totally fantastic day, except that I'm totally physically worn out now.
I really do need a well-deserved break. Will be on off the next 2 days. :)

happy memories
First and foremost, here’s a big thank you to all of you who remembered.
To me, a birthday has never been a big deal, and to be honest, I have never had the time to celebrate due to work reasons, and of course, yesterday, being a Saturday, was no different. Not only I had to teach in the afternoon and attend and help out at church service in the evening (it was like no other service because it was the first ever baptism service in my church!), yesterday was also the first rehearsal of many weekend rehearsals in preparation for an upcoming combined concert between MDC and ACS(I) in March.
I have to apologize to those who called at times when I was busy, either during the morning’s rehearsal, or when I was driving in the heaviest downpour ever in the afternoon. Also sorry to those who tried to reach me during my class in the afternoon, or when I was on duty at church in the evening.
I know, it was practically the whole day, so I’m truly sorry for having to hang up each call so quickly.
By the way, rehearsal yesterday was fun. I had fun smoking through all the pieces with Sam. Haha. :)
This week has been a horrendously busy week due to so many things happening all at once, which, of course, includes lots of planning and preparation for this concert. It isn’t easy handling so much work given by different managers at one time, and, considering that I’ll be one of the soloists for the upcoming vetting on Tuesday, I have additional pressure to perform extra well.
I have so many things lined up over the next few weeks… I can’t wait for all these to be over.
Anyway, once again, here’s a big big thank you to each and every one of you out there who sent me birthday greetings, whether personally or through other means such as SMS. You guys know who you are. Thanks so much for making it memorable. :)

It’s been a long day, as usual, but for some reason, it’s been one of my better days in weeks. Well, of course, apart from a couple of silly things that happened, which I will explain in a while.
We had an unexpected hour-long roll call in the morning, followed by rehearsals for the upcoming vetting, which, thankfully, turned out to be quite successful. Most of the work I have to prepare for the upcoming combined concert was completed today, and in the evening, I caught one of the most fantastic movies I’ve seen in a very long time – Babel. It’s such an awesome movie, I don’t believe it myself. I guess it’s something different from the usual thrillers or lovey-dovey shows you find all around. It has so many random shots, I find it enchanting, and unique too, from the way the different cultures are blended together.
It’s rated M18, though, which I thought was pretty lenient since it has quite a number of nude scenes. I felt it should have been labeled R21 instead.
Another movie preview which I caught a couple of days ago was Perfume: The Story of a Murderer. It’s pretty interesting, actually, except that I thought it contained a lot of rubbish, like seriously, a lot of trash. Well, at least it’s tolerable trash. And it’s quite funny too, especially during the mass orgy. An R21 movie which you might want to catch when it opens in cinemas tomorrow. Babel opens only next week.
Well, in other news, there’s this idiot in my camp (whom I have disliked for quite some time now) going around irritating the hell out of people, including myself. I don’t understand why some people just don’t get it. I hate attention-seekers, especially if they have poor attitudes and sickening characters. People who like his music are either deaf, or stupid, for that matter.
Today, I was walking up the stairs leading to the office when he was playing his guitar in front of one of the clerk’s desks. He shouldn’t even have been doing that as he was in the office, and after a warning from our senior manager, he continued strumming his guitar and irritating the hell out of everyone who was in the office – well it really proves that stupidity has no cure, but anyway.
He opened his mouth and asked, “Do you dislike me?”. I paused for a while, then replied, “Nope. I totally hate you.”
I was half-joking. (Actually, I almost meant it.)
He then said something along the lines of “Just you wait…” or something. I didn’t really want him to feel sorry for his pathetic self, so after walking just a few steps away from him, I turned back and said, “Nah, I’m kiddin’.” Not sure if he heard it, but who cares.
And of course, being the narrow-minded, childish person he is, he probably took it to heart. But hey, I’m sorry man, I had to be honest. Well, at least this time round.
The worst part of the story is that there are so many people smitten by this asshole just because of his cute looks. Yes, both guys and girls. It’s truly annoying.
Well, I’ll try to post more juicy stuff along the way. In the meantime, the more he tries to seek attention from the people around him, the more I’ll ensure he doesn’t get it. Well, I’m sorry, but he doesn’t deserve it anyway.

the start of a new year
It’s been 11 days into the new year, and I’ve been busier than ever, as usual. 2006 was a great year for me, and I hope this year will be equally awesome.
Believe it or not, I’ve come up with a whole bunch of resolutions for the new year, and I’m really hoping that most, if not all of them will work out. I have always worked hard, but I’m determined to work even harder this year, believing strongly that what you reap is what you sow, and that success comes to those who persevere.
It’s been a long time since I had the time to sit down to type an entry, or log in to MSN, for that matter. I mean, how often does the rain spoil my plans for the evening? Not often. It’s always nice to catch up with friends once in a while, especially those close to your heart. :)
Life has been good. I’ve been piled with stuff to do, but I do enjoy my job, and my colleagues, too. Well, at least most of them. Some of them are idiots, but well, I’m sure they’ll learn in life. Running all over the company and popping into a different manager’s room every 5 minutes is not something everyone would want, but I think it’s pretty fun. Nothing beats gaining everyone’s trust and having the managers closer than friends. It really helps in every way possible. :)
A lot a lot a lot a lot a lot a lot a lot a lot a lot a lot of things have happened over the past couple of months. It’s really……………. unbelievable. And no, it’s not that I’ve got a girlfriend or anything of the sort. Haha. There’s so much I want to say, but I can never find the time. By the time I sit down to blog, I’d have forgotten everything.
Ever since my computer broke down since I returned from Taiwan, I’ve wanted to buy a laptop, but it seems like even with one, I’ll never have the time to update, whether I’m in or out of camp, simply because I’m too busy. To those who update their blogs frequently, I take my hat off to you. Maybe your life isn’t as hectic as mine, but it seems that obsessive bloggers like XX really have got nothing better to do in life.
One of my resolutions for the year is to try not to be so busy, to try to avoid appointments, and cut down on my commitments. This way, not only will I save money, I will also have more time for myself, as well as for my family.
I’ve always wanted to close this blog, but I know that there are a couple of you out there who still read regularly, and are terribly shocked when I come back once in a blue moon and dump you guys with a super long entry. I don’t want to come online and rant about bad movies or stupid people in my life, because whether I like it or not, stupid people will always be around. Then again, blogging about stupid people can be quite fun. And funny, as well.
Lots and lots of activities coming up for us….... Show after show after vet after vet after concert after concert after class after class after…… whatever la. And I have to entertain hundreds of people everyday. Bleah.
Life’s frickin’ busy, but at least it’s fun. :)
