If Only
I love stress-free days like these where you can sit back, relax and enjoy the things that surround you. I feel that sometimes we are all too busy to appreciate the little things around us.
I was walking to my student’s house earlier this evening when I came across this mandarin-speaking family walking in my direction. I was thinking, would I be different if I was born in that family? Would I be where I am today? I know that was random, but walking on a quiet road on a Sunday evening, funny thoughts like these pop up from nowhere.
It’s been exactly one week since the concert at TCC. Sometimes I find it hard to believe that time passes so fast. In fact, most of my friends have already ORDed, and as for me, I’m already 7 months into the army. We are so caught up with things each and every day we don’t even notice that a week’s flown past just like that.
Wouldn't it be great if we could just press the pause button, and stop to look at how we have been living our lives?
If only it was possible.
Okay, I know I’m rambling. Maybe I should stop here. It’s been a long week. I’ll write again soon.

Thank You
On behalf of David and Jon, I'd like to thank each and every person who came for tonight's birthday concert at Touch Community Theatre. It was such a blast. I apologize for not being able to mention each and every person's name because there are simply too many for me to do so. It was great catching up with you guys. :)
It's been one of the most extraordinary concerts I've ever performed. It's been a great pleasure working with the twins, as well as the entire band - most of them from FCBC (some of which still recognize me, it's amazing). It's been fun because none of our rehearsals have gone without laughing at certain individuals, whom I shan't mention. Our jamming sessions over the weeks were equally funny, especially when someone woke up with Strepsils in his mouth, not knowing how they got there. Haha.
It's most definitely been an interesting journey since day one, from learning new songs to figuring out each and every chord to close perfection after listening to the CD. Of course, it's been tedious, especially after the hours and hours of practice and rehearsals at TCT, but I'm glad it was all worth it.
It's quite hard to believe that everything's over. I know it isn't my birthday, but somehow, it feels like a dream more than anything else. I'm really happy for the twins for putting up such an awesome show tonight, and I'd like to sincerely thank them for giving me the opportunity to play for their 21st birthday. Thanks David and Jon.
Well, that'll be all for now. It's been a long day, and I'll have to be up in a few hours' time to report to camp. I can't wait to go back, actually. It's been more than a week since I went back - will tell you more in my next entry.
